310 Bag Filter

BioNovations has introduced its new 310 Bag Filter in 2009.  The 310 Bag Filter has an optional coil for systems where chilling is required.  The 310 Bag Filter is designed to provide filtration with no moving parts.

Features:

• Easy Placement: can be located anywhere near the holding system but is generally located above the holding system for gravity flow to a holding tank. 
• Easy cleaning:  comes equipped with ten 100 micron filter bags as standard.  The filter bags are locked in between two polyethylene plates.  The top plate is easily removed for cleaning or replacement of filter bags.  The unit comes with 10 spare bags.  The bag filter is designed so that the filter bags can be removed for cleaning or replacement without stopping the flow to the system.
  

•     Energy Efficient: It is a completely insulated unit.  It comes with an insulated cover.  The cover rests on the top of the tank for easy removal.  The cover is designed to not completely seal the unit so venting of any gases occurs between the cover and the tank. 

•     Optional Coil: can be equipped with a coil for a system that requires chilling.  The coil sits at the bottom of the tank immersed in the flow.  Baffles are added to ensure a good velocity over the coils for enhanced heat transfer.

• The 310 Bag Filter comes equipped with a safety feature that ensures continuous flow through the bag filter should the filter bags become plugged.  If the filter bags are plugged, water will overflow a second weir plate to the tank below.  This allows the operator time to clean the bags but doesn’t stop flow to the system thereby maintaining aeration and biofiltration of the water
